2025 First Day
According to Minnesota Statute 3.011, the legislature shall meet at the seat of government on the first Tuesday after the second Monday in January of each odd-numbered year. It shall also meet when called by the governor to meet in special session.
The first day of the 2025-2026 biennium will be January 14, 2025.

2025 Last Day
The state constitution limits the Legislature to meeting 120 legislative days during each biennium. In addition, the Legislature may not meet in regular session after the first Monday following the third Saturday in May of any year. The last day the legislature can meet in 2025 (they may adjourn earlier) is May 19, 2025.
2026 First Day
In the even numbered years, the Legislature convenes on a date set by joint agreement of both bodies.
The first day of the 2026 session is to be decided.
2026 Last Day
The Legislature may not meet in regular session after the first Monday following the third Saturday in May of any year.
The last day the legislature can meet in 2026 (they may adjourn earlier) is May 18, 2026.
