GOVERNOR PAWLENTY SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER DIRECTING STATE AGENCIES TO CONDUCT WORKFORCE PLANNING -- October 2, 2007
To ensure that state government is able to successfully carry out its mission now and in the future, Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed an executive order that requires all state agencies to conduct workforce planning to deal with potential labor shortages. The number of state employees retiring annually has increased by 32 percent over the last five years.

Governor Pawlenty today signed an emergency executive order waiving certain restrictions for drivers of commercial vehicles engaged in the transportation of gasoline and motor fuels. The emergency order will ease the distribution of gasoline across Greater Minnesota.

Governor Pawlenty today signed an executive order that provides direction to state agencies regarding emergency planning and emergency management. Today?s order, which updates and replaces executive order 04-04, assigns responsibilities to agencies based on the Minnesota Emergency Operations Plan and the State All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed an executive order waiving restrictions on the service hours for commercial vehicles carrying flood related waste and debris in Fillmore, Houston, Olmsted, Steele, Wabasha and Winona Counties to collection sites approved by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

GOVERNOR PAWLENTY DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR SIX COUNTIES IN SOUTHEASTERN MINNESOTA -- August 20, 2007
Governor Tim Pawlenty has declared a state of emergency for Winona, Wabasha, Fillmore, Houston, Steele and Olmsted counties in southeastern Minnesota due to the heavy rain and flooding that is causing road, infrastructure and life safety issues.
