Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed two orders. Executive Order 07-20 creates the Veterans Health Care Advisory Council. Executive Re-Organization Order No. 194 abolishes the Veterans Home Board and transfers its functions, powers, duties, and responsibilities to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Advisory Council will advise the Department on an overall strategic plan for the Veterans Homes and how to best serve the health care needs of veterans. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty today signed two executive orders. Executive Order 07-18 provides assistance from the National Guard needed by the Department of Public Safety and Sherburne and Wright Counties to complete the Monticello Nuclear Power Plant Exercise. Executive Order 07-19 will aid farmers during the harvest season by extending the hours of service for transporting diesel fuel and anhydrous ammonia. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty, at the request of the Todd County Sherriff, has ordered the Minnesota National Guard to assist Todd County officials with the recovery of a downed University of North Dakota airplane that was carrying two individuals en route to Grand Forks. |
