GOVERNOR PAWLENTY ORDERS U.S. AND STATE FLAGS AT HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF SERGEANT BRYAN J. OPSKAR -- August 1, 2005

Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset, on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, in honor and remembrance of Sergeant Bryan J. Opskar.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset, on Saturday, July 16, 2005, in honor and remembrance of Chief Warrant Officer Corey J. Goodnature.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset, on Friday, June 17, 2005, in honor and remembrance of First Lieutenant Michael John Fasnacht.  First Lieutenant Fasnacht died a hero near Tikrit, Iraq on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, while serving his country and fighting for freedom.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset, on Friday, June 3, 2005, in honor and remembrance of Chief Warrant Officer Matthew Scott Lourey and former Minnesota Congressman Joseph Edward Karth.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at the Capitol Complex, including state buildings, monuments and grounds in proximity to and including the Minnesota State Capitol, from sunrise until sunset, on Monday, May 23, 2005, in honor and remembrance of Officer Peter Jay Resch. Officer Resch died of a heart attack on Thursday, May 19, 2005, after a struggle with a suspect while responding to a domestic disturbance call in Wadena.
