PAWLENTY PROPOSES 90% REDUCTION IN MERCURY EMISSIONS IN MINNESOTA -- February 16, 2006
Saying that mercury poses a major threat to the health of Minnesotans and the environment, Governor Pawlenty today called for legislation to reduce mercury emissions from power plants by 90% in a timeframe ahead of federal clean air requirements.

MINNESOTA SCHOOLS TO RECEIVE $55.2 MILLION TO ENHANCE TECHNOLOGY -- January 30, 2006
Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced that Minnesota school districts will receive $55.2 million in vouchers to purchase new computer hardware and software beginning this week. The money is part of a $174.5 million settlement from a class action suit which alleged that Microsoft overcharged Minnesota consumers and businesses for certain products.

GOVERNOR PAWLENTY FUNDS CONSERVATION AGENDA WITH AGGRESSIVE BONDING PROPOSAL -- January 6, 2006
In a speech today to the Department of Natural Resources Annual Roundtable in St. Cloud, Governor Tim Pawlenty announced his priorities for the 2006 capital bonding bill in the areas of conservation, water quality and the outdoors. His proposals in this area total nearly $187 million and are some of the most aggressive in recent years for conservation related projects.
