GOVERNOR PAWLENTY ORDERS U.S. AND STATE FLAGS AT HALF-STAFF IN HONOR OF PRESIDENT GERALD FORD -- December 27, 2006
Governor Tim Pawlenty today ordered that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings in Minnesota from sunrise until sunset for a period of 30 days, in honor and tribute to the memory of President Gerald Ford. Governor Pawlenty followed President Bush's request to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff at all federal buildings.

Turcotte who died a hero while protecting his country and fighting for freedom on December 4, 2006, in Iraq.

Rystad who died a hero while protecting his country and fighting for freedom on December 2, 2006, in Iraq.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today requested that all U.S. and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings in Minnesota from sunrise until sunset tomorrow, Thursday, December 7, in honor and remembrance of those who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor. Governor Pawlenty followed President Bush's request to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff at all federal buildings on that day.
