Appointments Internship

Governor Tim Pawlenty’s Office has one unpaid internship available in the Appointments Department. The individual selected for this internship will assist the Appointments Director in making appointments to state boards.
Job Summary:

Contact applicants and arrange interviews between them and the Appointments Director.
- Maintain each applicant’s file and gather necessary forms for appointment.
- Prepare documents related to the appointments process.
- Opportunity to gain valuable insight and gain ‘behind the scenes’ view of operations at the level state government.
- Receive valuable experience which can be applied to a future career path.
Requirements:
Due to the level of responsibility this internship holds, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are key. It is also important to be self-motivated and able to meet multiple deadlines. This internship requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week and proficient knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel. Juniors and seniors majoring in Political Science, Government, Pre-Law, Economics, and Public Policy are preferred.
