Public testimony will not be taken on these bills in the Finance Committee. Please submit handouts in PDF format by email to elspeth.cavert@mnsenate.gov by no later than 24 hours before the hearing start time.

Finance Committee will break midway through the day for a lunch break.

Portions of many of the bills being heard in Finance this week will be amended into appropriate supplemental finance bills. Omnibus bills to be worked on the week of 4/20-4/24 in Finance Committee, in addition to other standalone bills: Veterans Omnibus, Housing Omnibus, HHS Omnibus, Safety & Security Package, Hortman & Dziedzic Memorial Bill, Supplemental Finance Bill.

S.F. 4338 HoffmanMinnesota Senate Building renaming after Kari Dziedzic provision and appropriation

- Following presentation of SF 4338, it will be laid over.

S.F. 4662 HoffmanMelissa Hortman State Office Building memorial appropriation

- Following presentation of SF 4662, it will be laid over.

S.F. 3899 HoffmanState Office Building renaming after Melissa Hortman

- Amendments will be offered to add the language of SF 4338 and SF 4662 to SF 3899, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments - A motion will be made to pass SF 3899 to the floor as a Rep. Hortman and Sen. Dziedzic Memorial package.

S.F. 4365 KleinVarious consumer protections for insurance and financial products modification

- As SF 4365 is a finance & policy bill, budget items will be amended out and the remaining policy bill will be moved to the floor as a standalone.

S.F. 5073 PutnamAgricultural provisions modification

- Following presentation of SF 5073, it will be laid over. - The supplemental finance bill (HF 2433) will be taken up, and an amendment will be offered to add relevant language of SF 5073 to HF 2433, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments. - At the end of the discussion, HF 2433 will be laid over.

S.F. 4474 RasmussonOnline sweepstakes games prohibition

- A motion will be made to pass SF 4474 to the floor as a standalone bill.

S.F. 3943 FatehOmnibus Higher Education policy bill

- As SF 3943 is a policy bill with a budget related provision, the budget related provision will be amended out and the remaining policy bill will be laid over.

S.F. 4638 FatehOmnibus Higher Education supplemental appropriations

- Following presentation of SF 4683, it will be laid over. - The supplemental finance bill (HF 2433) will be taken up, and an amendment will be offered to add relevant language from SF 3943 and SF 4638 to HF 2433 and align with intended passage out of Finance Committee, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments. - At the end of the discussion, HF 2433 will be laid over.

S.F. 4511 MartyCertain wagers and other activities regarding prediction markets prohibition provision and certain criminal convictions disqualifying for receiving a lawful gambling license provision

- A motion will be made to pass SF 4511 to the floor as a standalone bill.


Eid break begins on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 8:00am. Legislative activities resume on Friday, March 20 at 8:00am (may change based on religious tradition).

The Easter/Passover break begins on Friday, March 27 at 5:00pm. Legislative activities resume on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:00am.
