Finance Committee will reconvene in Capitol Room G15 at 3:15pm.

Public testimony will not be taken on these bills in the Finance Committee. Please submit handouts in PDF format by email to elspeth.cavert@mnsenate.gov by no later than 24 hours before the hearing start time.

Finance Committee will meet until 10:30am to hear the first two bills and then recess, returning after the end of session to complete the agenda. Continuation of discussion of the Environment Omnibus bill has been added to the 4/22 agenda.

Portions of many of the bills being heard in Finance this week will be amended into appropriate supplemental finance bills. Omnibus bills to be worked on the week of 4/20-4/24 in Finance Committee, in addition to other standalone bills: Veterans Omnibus, Housing Omnibus, HHS Omnibus, Safety & Security Package, Hortman & Dziedzic Memorial Bill, Supplemental Finance Bill.

Agenda:

S.F. 3988 DibbleVarious transportation-related provisions modifications

- Following presentation of SF 3988 it will be laid over. - Some language from SF 3988 will be later added to the Safety & Security Package (SF 3432) - Some language from SF 3988 will later be added to the Supplemental Finance Bill (HF 2433)

H.F. 2433 MartyOmnibus E-12 Education appropriations

Continuation of discussion of the Omnibus Environment Finance bill (SF 4214) from Tuesday 4/21 - The supplemental finance bill (HF 2433) will be taken up, and an amendment will be offered to add relevant language of SF 4214 to HF 2433, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments. - At the end of the discussion, HF 2433 will be laid over.

S.F. 4067 LatzOmnibus Judicial Branch supplemental appropriations

- Following presentation of SF 4067, it will be laid over. - Language from SF 4067 will be added to the Safety & Security Package (SF 3432)

S.F. 3432 LatzPublic safety radio and crime victims account establishment

- Following presentation of SF 3432 (Clemency Review Commission language), SF 3432 will be laid over. - The supplemental finance bill (HF 2433) will be taken up, and an amendment will be offered to add relevant language from SF 3432 to HF 2433, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments. - At the end of the discussion, HF 2433 will be laid over. - SF 3432 will be taken up, and an amendment (A6) will be offered to add relevant Safety & Security language from SF 4067, SF 4167, SF 3988 and SF 4059 followed by time for consideration of additional amendments - A motion will be made to pass SF 3432 to the floor as a Safety & Security package.


Eid break begins on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 8:00am. Legislative activities resume on Friday, March 20 at 8:00am (may change based on religious tradition).

The Easter/Passover break begins on Friday, March 27 at 5:00pm. Legislative activities resume on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:00am.
