Finance Committee will not reconvene on 4/21. The conclusion of the hearing on the Environment Omnibus bill will be moved to tomorrow's agenda.

Public testimony will not be taken on these bills in the Finance Committee. Please submit handouts in PDF format by email to elspeth.cavert@mnsenate.gov by no later than 24 hours before the hearing start time.

Finance Committee will meet until 10:30am and then recess, returning after the end of session in Capitol G15 if needed to complete the agenda.

Portions of many of the bills being heard in Finance this week will be amended into appropriate supplemental finance bills.

Omnibus bills to be worked on the week of 4/20-4/24 in Finance Committee, in addition to other standalone bills: Veterans Omnibus, Housing Omnibus, HHS Omnibus, Safety & Security Package, Hortman & Dziedzic Memorial Bill, Supplemental Finance Bill.

Agenda:

S.F. 4167 HoffmanCertain state officials security and protective services provision and appropriation

- Following presentation of SF 4167 and consideration of any amendments, it will be laid over for inclusion in a Safety & Security Package (SF 3432) on Wednesday 4/22

S.F. 4214 HawjNatural resources reporting requirements modifications to improve efficiency

(Environment Omnibus) - Following presentation of SF 4214, it will be laid over. - The supplemental finance bill (HF 2433) will be taken up, and an amendment will be offered to add relevant language of SF 4214 to HF 2433, followed by time for consideration of additional amendments. - At the end of the discussion, HF 2433 will be laid over.


Eid break begins on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 8:00am. Legislative activities resume on Friday, March 20 at 8:00am (may change based on religious tradition).

The Easter/Passover break begins on Friday, March 27 at 5:00pm. Legislative activities resume on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:00am.
