GOVERNOR PAWLENTY APPOINTS ATTORNEY STEVEN HOFFMEYER TO HEAD BUREAU OF MEDIATION SERVICES -- December 30, 2008
Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Steven G. Hoffmeyer today to head the state's Bureau of Mediation Services. Hoffmeyer currently serves as Deputy Commissioner of the Bureau, a post he has held since 2003. The previous Commissioner of the Bureau of Mediation Services, James A. Cunningham, Jr., was appointed by Governor Pawlenty to the Tenth Judicial District trial court bench in Anoka County.

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Robert J. McFarlin to an unscheduled vacancy on the Metropolitan Council in District 3. The vacancy will occur with the resignation of Mary Hill Smith effective December 31, 2008. McFarlin?s effective date will be on January 2, 2009.
