Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of William F. Arendt, Terry Hoffman, and Judith Russell, and the reappointment of Joshua Downham, Senator David Durenberger, Laura Harris, and Thomas Horner to the Minnesota Commission on National and Community Service, also known as the ServeMinnesota Commission. All seven are appointed to unrestricted community member positions on the commission. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced that he has accepted the recommendations of the ad hoc screening committee that reviewed résumés and conducted interviews for the current judicial vacancy on the Minnesota Court of Appeals. The opening occurred as a result of the retirement of the Honorable Robert H. Schumacher on September 9, 2005. This position is for a resident of the Third Congressional District. The finalists are Kevin G. Ross, Judge Kathleen Hvass Sanberg, and Judge James T. Swenson. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Timothy K. Anderson, F. Charles Baggeroer, Regina Brown, Teresa Bulver, Shirlee Heitz, Geri Kane, Frederic W. “Fritz” Knaak, Eileen M. Roberts, and Jinnelle Weis to the Electronic Real Estate Recording Task Force. These members are appointed to new positions and will all serve three-year terms that commenced on July 1, 2005 and expire on June 30, 2008. |

The Commission on Judicial Selection today announced that applications are now being accepted for a Seventh Judicial District trial court bench vacancy in the city of Moorhead in Clay County. The vacancy will occur with the retirement of the Honorable William E. Walker on December 9, 2005. The Supreme Court transferred the chambers of this judgeship from Becker County to Clay County. |

Governor Tim Pawlenty today announced the appointment of Kris Sanda to the Metropolitan Council. Sanda will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mary Krinkie in Metropolitan Council District 10. District 10 includes the Anoka County cities of Blaine, Circle Pines and Lexington, and the Ramsey County cities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, and Shoreview, and the portion of Spring Lake Park that lies in Ramsey County. |
