Minnesota Information

  • Energy & Utilies -- This division of the Minnesota Department of Commerce administers programs to help Minnesotans save money and save energy, get assistance paying their utility bills and transition to renewable energy.
  • Minnesota’s Network for Enterprise Telecommunications -- MNET is designed to deliver a secure, reliable integrated statewide telecommunications network for all branches and levels of Minnesota government, public safety, and education. Since 1993, MNET has been managed by MNIT.
  • Minnesota Public Utilities Commission - The PUC regulates three cornerstone service industries in Minnesota's economy, i.e. electricity, natural gas and telephone, and has permitting authority for most energy facilities in Minnesota. 
  • Utility Regulation - Reports and information guides from the Minnesota House of Representatives Research Office.
