Standing on the front steps of the State Capitol, Governor Dayton today announced that, in addition to his continued efforts to compromise, he would take his budget message directly to the people of Minnesota. The Governor is launching a week long discussion with Minnesotans on what's at stake in the ongoing budget debate, focusing on the services that would be directly impacted by the cuts in the Republican's budget. Beginning tomorrow, the Governor will travel to cities, including St. Cloud, Rochester, Winona, Albert Lea, Moorhead, and others, to meet with Minnesotans affected by the proposed Republican cuts.

Also today, Governor Dayton delivered a video message to the people of Minnesota, expanding his efforts to engage citizens directly about the future of our state. In his message, the Governor outlines specifically what he's standing up for and what's at stake for Minnesotans. The video will be viewable beginning today at the Governor's YouTube page, www.youtube.com/govmarkdayton.
