ST. PAUL, MN – Today, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) released the
latest monthly jobs report. According to the state’s latest jobs figures:
• Statewide unemployment held steady at 3.1 percent – the lowest rate in 18 years
• With 2,962,300 jobs, Minnesota now has more jobs than ever before
• Since January 2011, Minnesota employers have added over 302,600 new jobs
• In the last year alone, Minnesota employers have added 45,517 new jobs
• For nearly 4 years (47 straight months), Minnesota’s statewide unemployment rate has been at or below 4 percent
