Governor Dayton Announces Upcoming Vacancy on Workers’ Compensation Court of Appeals

SAINT PAUL, MN - Governor Dayton announced today that a judgeship vacancy will be occurring on the Minnesota's Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals. The Honorable Thomas L. Johnson's term will be expiring, leaving a vacancy for a judgeship on the Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals.

Governor Dayton is searching for fair, experienced and civic-minded individuals to serve on the bench, and offer their talents and services to Minnesota. Candidates must be learned in the law, have been licensed to practice law for at least five years, and have experience with and knowledge of workers' compensation and the workers' compensation laws of Minnesota. The following qualities will be considered for judicial office: integrity, maturity, health (if job related), judicial temperament, legal knowledge, ability, experience, and community service. The application process is now open for this vacancy.

Those interested in serving should submit an "Open Appointments" application along with a letter of interest and a resume for consideration to the Court. Application forms can be found on the Secretary of State's website at http://www.sos.state.mn.us/index.aspx?page=5.
