ST. PAUL, MN – In accordance with a proclamation
issued this morning by President Donald Trump,
Governor Mark Dayton has directed all United States flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota. As directed by the President’s proclamation, flags will be flown at half-staff beginning immediately, until sunset on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, as a mark of respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence in Annapolis, Maryland.
On Thursday, June 28, 2018, a reprehensible act of violence was committed against innocent journalists and a staff member at Capital Gazette Communications in Annapolis, Maryland, and the victims and their families deserve our honor, respect, and remembrance.
