Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancy in Fifth Judicial District

Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that a judgeship vacancy is occurring in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District Court.  The appointment of the Honorable John R. Rodenberg to the Minnesota Court of Appeals created this vacancy. The district court judgeship will be chambered at New Ulm in Brown County in the Fifth Judicial District. 
  
The Commission is searching for fair, experienced and civic-minded individuals to serve on the bench, and offer their talents and services to Minnesota’s judicial system. The following qualities will be considered for judicial office: integrity, maturity, health (if job related), judicial temperament, legal knowledge, ability, experience, and community service. The application process is now open for these vacancies.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55155, or by contacting Tiffany Orth, Appointments Coordinator, via e-mail at tiffany.orth@state.mn.us. A cover letter and resume should also be submitted with the application. Application materials are due by close of business, Monday, April 9, 2012. Interviews are scheduled to be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Brown County Courthouse in New Ulm.
