Governor Dayton signs more Unsession bills, 188 Unsession provisions have now become law

Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed two Unsession bills into law. The bills include 8 Unsession provisions the Governor recommended to the Legislature in early March. Altogether, 188 Unsession provisions have now become law.

Chapter 204, HF 2668: This courts bill streamlines several process improvements for litigants and changes several laws to further enable the court to move toward electronic court record processing. This bill contains 7 Unsession provisions. The bill passed unanimously in both chambers.

Chapter 205, HF 2479: This Unsession bill allows housing courts and housing calendars to use referees for the majority of landlord and tenant cases. This bill contains 1 Unsession provision. The bill passed unanimously in both chambers.
