Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed Sunday, May 15, 2011, as Law Enforcement Memorial Day in Minnesota, in honor of those Peace Officers who have given their lives to protect the public. Governor Dayton has also ordered all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in honor and remembrance of Peace Officers who have died in the line of duty.
