Dayton proclaims Law Enforcement Memorial Day in Minnesota

Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed Sunday, May 15, 2011, as Law Enforcement Memorial Day in Minnesota, in honor of those Peace Officers who have given their lives to protect the public. Governor Dayton will be presenting copies of the proclamation at memorial services he is attending this weekend, including the service earlier today in Itasca County, and a service on Sunday, May 15, in St. Paul. /governor/assets/Law-Enforcement-Memorial-Day.pdf_tcm1055-92330.pdfA copy of the proclamation is attached. Governor Dayton has also ordered all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in honor and remembrance of Peace Officers who have died in the line of duty.
