ST. PAUL, MN – At the request of his family and friends, the Office of Minnesota’s Governor and Lt. Governor announces the memorial service arrangements for Wendell Anderson, former Minnesota Governor, United States Senator, and State Legislator.

 

Governor Anderson’s memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55419). A reception will be held prior to the service at 1:00pm. Both the service and reception are open to members of the public. The Anderson family respectfully requests that there be no video or still photography in the church before or during the service.

 

After speaking with the family, Governor Dayton has ordered all United States and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff through Sunday, July 24, 2016, and from sunrise until sunset on Monday, August 15, 2016, in honor and remembrance of former Governor Anderson.
