Severe thunderstorms in June caused significant damage to local roads, power lines, and telephone connections
ST. PAUL, MN – Governor Mark Dayton today
issued a letter authorizing an estimated $451,800 in relief for Blue Earth County and an estimated $235,514 for Nicollet County from the State Disaster Assistance Contingency Account. Both counties experienced significant damage to public property caused by thunderstorms and heavy rain from June 14 through June 18, 2016. The state aid will reimburse counties for public infrastructure repairs and clean-up costs.
