ST. PAUL, MN - Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointments of Mr. Ralph Strangis and Mr. Thomas DiPasquale, and the re-appointment of Mr. Jesse Overton, to the Minnesota Racing Commission. He designated Mr. Strangis to serve as the Commission's Chair.

 

"The experience and expertise of these three men will be extremely important to the Commission, as it hires a new Executive Director and moves ahead in the fulfillment of its important responsibilities of the people of Minnesota," said Governor Dayton. "I especially want to thank Mr. Ralph Strangis for his willingness to assume the top leadership role of the Commission. His previous experience chairing the Commission and his many other successful ventures will be invaluable at this important time. I strongly urge all of the Commission's Board Members and staff to give him their full cooperation and support.

 

"I also want to thank Ms. Kristin Batson, from the Minnesota Department of Management and Budget, for her willingness to shoulder temporarily the duties of Executive Director, until a new Director has taken office. She, too, deserves the full support of the Board and staff."
