ST. PAUL, MN - On Tuesday, July 16, Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon will be traveling to Oklahoma City, OK for an annual meeting of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA). The three-day meeting will provide an opportunity for lieutenant governors from across the United States to foster interstate cooperation and share best practices.
On Friday, Lieutenant Governor Prettner Solon will introduce a panel discussing America's future energy supply.
"As former chair of the Minnesota Senate Energy Committee, I understand how critically important developing sustainable energy resources are to our country," said Lieutenant Governor Prettner Solon. "I am honored to introduce this panel because discussions like these provide an excellent opportunity for policymakers from across the country to share ideas."
During the conference, the lieutenant governors also will discuss a variety of other issues, including agricultural practices, emergency preparedness, and working with American Indian tribal governments.
