ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Mayo Clinic
announced that they have been awarded $142 million by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to host a national program focused on better understanding individual differences that contribute to health and disease. “I offer my congratulations to Mayo Clinic for achieving this national distinction. This grant reaffirms that Rochester is America’s City for Health and that Mayo Clinic is America’s premiere medical institution.
“Mayo Clinic’s selection as the national Precision Medicine Initiative Program biobank is a testament to its ongoing leadership in the fight against many of the most challenging and deadly illnesses facing Americans and residents of our state.”
