Dayton provides report on Twin Cities Economic Summit recommendations

4/8/2011 10:14:43 AM

April 08, 2011
Today, the Office of Governor Mark Dayton released a first report on recommendations made to the Governor at the March 30, 2011 Economic Summit held in North Minneapolis. Over the last nine days, Governor Dayton, Assistant Chief of Staff Micah Hines and commissioners in the Dayton Administration have been reviewing the recommendations, and have outlined in today's report actions the Administration has taken as a first step in advancing the community's issues.

Assistant Chief of Staff for Special Projects, Micah Hines said, "We appreciate the effort that went into the recommendations presented to the Governor at the March 30th Economic Summit, and we believe that the community proposed many great ideas. In the nine days since the summit, we have worked hard to evaluate our current programs, examine opportunities for improvement and to prepare a serious response to the issues presented. However, this response is a first step. We will continue to work with the commissioners and community to expand on the ideas in this report. This is just a beginning and we look forward to continued dialogue so that we can implement long term meaningful change.."
