On October 29, the State of Minnesota will host its first-ever State Government Career Fair to connect all Minnesotans with opportunities in state government

ST. PAUL, MN – Two upcoming career fairs are aiming to help connect more Minnesotans to state employment opportunities. First, on October 18, the State of Minnesota will partner with the People of Color Career Fair to help people of color in Minnesota access opportunities for state employment. Then, on October 29, the state will host its first-ever State Government Career Fair to connect all Minnesotans with opportunities in state government.

These career fairs aim to ensure that all Minnesotans – including those traditionally underrepresented in state government – have access to good employment. Those attending these career fairs will have the opportunity to learn about current job openings, network with professionals, learn about state government, and attend career-search workshops. Advance registration is available for the People of Color Career Fair, but is not required for either event.

These efforts are part of Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith’s commitment to build an economy that works for all Minnesotans, not just those at the top. Critical to that work is expanding opportunities to all Minnesotans, everywhere in our state.
