ST. PAUL, MN – The 2017 summer tour season at the Minnesota Governor's Residence will kick off on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. The Residence will be open for public tours on June 13th and 27th, July 11th and 25th, and August 8th and 22nd from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Tours will begin every 10 minutes. Reservations are welcomed and encouraged for all group sizes, with walk-ins accepted based on availability. Grounds and gardens are open to the public until 1:00pm on tour days.

 

During the guided tours, volunteer docents from the Women's Auxiliary of the Minnesota Historical Society will be on hand to answer questions in each room on the First Floor and Lower Level of the Residence. The 1006 Summit Avenue Society will also offer a selection of merchandise available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will help to support the historic Residence.

 

There is no fee for the tour, but visitors are encouraged to consider bringing a non-perishable food item, as the Governor's Residence is a drop site for Second Harvest Heartland.
