ST. PAUL, MN - Today, Governor Mark Dayton today issued Executive Order 14-09 directing the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources, and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to begin implementing Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program pilot programs.

The executive order builds on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Governor Dayton, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Environmental Protection Agency in 2012, and legislation passed in 2013 creating Minnesota's a first-in-the-nation voluntary Agricultural Water Quality Certification initiative.
