ST. PAUL, MN – Today, United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen announced Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Somali refugees will continue for an additional 18 months. The following is a statement from Governor Mark Dayton.
“I thank Secretary Nielsen for extending the Temporary Protected Status for Somali refugees. This extension will provide a life-saving protection to many good Minnesotans.”
Yesterday, Governor Dayton sent a letter to President Donald Trump, urging him to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Somali refugees living in the United States. You can read his letter
