Governor Dayton encourages Minnesotans to show support for the Minnesota Timberwolves
ST. PAUL, MN – As the Minnesota Timberwolves prepare to take on the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2018 NBA Western Conference Playoffs, Governor Mark Dayton has proclaimed Sunday, April 15, 2018 as
“Minnesota Timberwolves Day” in Minnesota. This is the first year the Timberwolves have made it to the playoffs since the 2003-2004 season.
“The Minnesota Timberwolves showed unmatched determination and resiliency to reach the playoffs for the first time in fourteen years,” reads Governor Dayton’s proclamation. “As the 2018 NBA Playoffs begin, Minnesotans in every corner of the state will be turning #AllEyesNorth to cheer their Minnesota Timberwolves on to victory.”
Governor Dayton is calling on basketball fans across the state to show their support by wearing the Timberwolves’ colors on Sunday, and during upcoming Timberwolves playoff days. Minnesotans are encouraged to seek permission, as necessary, to ensure their team gear is appropriate for work and school. More information on how to cheer on the Timberwolves can be found
