ST. PAUL, MN - Today, the Commission on Judicial Selection announced that the application period for the current at-large judgeship vacancy on the Minnesota Court of Appeals has been extended until Friday, October 9, 2015. Due to an error in the distribution of the previous announcement of this vacancy, some Minnesota bar associations did not receive the news release. This extended application period will ensure a broad opportunity for all those interested in applying.
This vacancy was created upon the appointment of the Honorable Natalie E. Hudson to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Governor Dayton has asked the Commission on Judicial Selection to aid in the review and selection process for this vacancy. The at-large members of the Commission will consider applicants and offer recommendations to Governor Dayton. The Commission on Judicial Selection and Governor Dayton are committed to seeking out individuals who possess great integrity, extensive legal knowledge, broad experience, and a commitment to fairness.
