Today, Governor Dayton signed five bills into law, including "Jacob's Law," which he signed in a public ceremony this morning. The five bills signed today are:
Chapter 152, HF 2676 modifying the Positive Alternatives grant program to allow additional organizations to become eligible for funding. This bill both bodies of the legislature with bipartisan support.
Chapter 153, SF 2297, Jacob's Law, modifying parental notification requirements in cases of child abuse.
Chapter 155, SF 2084, the Omnibus Department of Corrections Policy Bill, which passed the legislature with unanimous support.
Chapter 157, SF 2069 related to travel insurance, and how it may be marketed.
Chapter 159, SF 1993 expanding sump pump installation licensing exemptions. This bill passed the Senate with unanimous support, and the House with broad bipartisan support.
