Governor Dayton Orders Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Observance of the 17th Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

ST. PAUL, MN – In observance of the seventeenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Governor Mark Dayton has ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, September 11, 2017.
 
As a mark of respect for the victims of this tragedy, Governor Dayton has proclaimed Tuesday to be “Patriot Day and A Day of Service and Remembrance” in the State of Minnesota. In solidarity with the rest of the nation, the Governor encourages all Minnesotans to observe the National Moment of Silence at 7:46 a.m. Central Daylight Time.
 
The Interstate 35W Bridge in Minneapolis will be lit red, white and blue on Tuesday night, in observance of the seventeenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
