Saint Paul, MN - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending five candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the current vacancies occurring in Minnesota's Fourth Judicial District. The Honorable Beryl A. Nord, the Honorable George F. McGunnigle and the Honorable Cara Lee Neville have retired, leaving vacancies for district court judgeships chambered at Minneapolis in Hennepin County.

Martha Holton Dimick-Ms. Holton Dimick currently serves as the Deputy City Attorney of the Criminal Division of the City of Minneapolis where she manages and supervises attorneys, paralegals and support staff to ensure prosecution of livability crimes against persons and property within the city. She also works as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law. Ms. Holton Dimick previously served as an Assistant County Attorney with Hennepin County in its Adult Prosecution Violent Crimes Division and was an associate attorney with Gray Plant Mooty. She is a member of the DeLaSalle Board of Trustees and was a former member and chair of the Council on Black Minnesotans.

Hilary Lindell Caligiuri-Ms. Caligiuri serves as a Senior Assistant Hennepin County Attorney where she supervises the drug unit within the Community Prosecution Division. She previously worked as an Assistant Attorney General and then Deputy Attorney General for the State of Minnesota, overseeing the Criminal Trial Division and later the Government Services Section of the Attorney General's Office. Ms. Caligiuri is a frequent lecturer for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Minnesota County Attorneys Association. She also serves as secretary of Sunny Hollow Montessori's Board of Trustees and has organized donation drives with Stork's Nest.

James Moore-Mr. Moore currently serves as the Litigation Manager of the Civil Division for the City of Minneapolis where he is responsible for assigning and supervising all litigation for the city. He previously worked as an Assistant City Attorney for the Civil Divisions of both Minneapolis and Bloomington. Mr. Moore was a member of the Hamline University School of Law Mentor Program and is a liaison between the Minnesota State Bar Association's Civic Education Committee and the Minnesota Internship Center. He also volunteers as a judge for the Minnesota State Bar Association's high school mock trial competitions as well as for Hamline University's National Mock Trial Competitions.

Kathleen Sheehy-Ms. Sheehy is an Administrative Law Judge at the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings where she conducts hearings and drafts reports in contested cases in all substantive areas. Prior to working at the Office of Administrative Hearings, she was an attorney at Dorsey and Whitney for 9 years, practicing within commercial, antitrust and employment litigation. Ms. Sheehy was also a parent volunteer with Kenny Community School and Anthony Middle School and was a reading tutor with Kenny Community School's Read Naturally program. She is currently a Community Crime Prevention Block Club Leader with the Minneapolis Police Department.

Edward Wahl-Mr. Wahl is a partner with Faegre Baker Daniels in Minneapolis where he practices in financial and commercial litigation. Prior to this, he was a partner with Oppenheimer Wolff and Donnelly LLP. Mr. Wahl is an active member of the Minnesota Private College Council's board and executive committee and is on the board of the Urban Debate League, a non-profit dedicated to returning interscholastic debate to urban schools in the Twin Cities. He is also on the steering committee for the YWCA's annual program, It's Time to Talk About Race, and he served as chair of the Nominations Committee for the Hennepin County Bar Association.

The Fourth Judicial District consists of Hennepin County.
