Governor to Host Celebration Breakfast for WNBA Champions Friday Morning in St. Paul
ST. PAUL, MN - At 9:30am on Friday, October 16, 2015, Governor Mark Dayton will host a celebration breakfast reception at the Governor's Residence for the Minnesota Lynx. This week, the Lynx won the WNBA Championship for the third time in five years. Team members will visit with Governor Dayton and other elected officials, and be congratulated for their outstanding championship season.
To recognize the outstanding achievements of the Minnesota Lynx, Governor Dayton has declared Friday, October 16, 2015 to be "Minnesota Lynx Day" in Minnesota.
Members of the press are invited to the front lawn of the Governor's Residence on Friday to film the team entering the reception. The team is scheduled to arrive at approximately 9:30am, and will be greeted at the door by Governor Dayton.
