ST. PAUL, MN – Governor Mark Dayton announced today the commencement of a process to fill a vacancy on the Minnesota Supreme Court, created upon the upcoming retirement of Associate Justice Christopher J. Dietzen at the end of August.
Governor Dayton has asked the Commission on Judicial Selection to aid in the review and selection process for this vacancy. The at-large members of the Commission will consider applicants and offer recommendations to Governor Dayton. The Commission on Judicial Selection and Governor Dayton are committed to seeking out individuals who possess great integrity, extensive legal knowledge, broad experience, and a commitment to fairness.
