The Rolling Stones played their first concert in Minnesota at "Big Reggie's Danceland" on June 12, 1964 at the now closed Excelsior Amusement Park. Tickets to the concert cost an outlandish sum for the time: $6.00. In the years since, The Rolling Stones also have played in Bloomington, Minneapolis, and St. Paul.
The Rolling Stones have traveled across the world since 1963 - having played in front of millions of fans and earning the distinction of being the greatest touring band of all time. The band's worldwide sales are estimated at more than 200 million copies sold in the decades since. In 1989, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
