ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the following appointments to the Governor’s Advisory Council on Connected and Automated Vehicles. This Council, established by Governor Dayton through Executive Order 18-04, will study, assess, and prepare for the transformation and opportunities associated with the widespread adoption of automated and connected vehicles.

About the Governor’s Advisory Council on Connected and Automated Vehicles

The advisory council will be co-chaired by Charlie Zelle, Commissioner of Transportation, and Christopher Clark, President of Xcel Energy-Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The advisory council must consist of thirteen other members appointed by the Governor with relevant experience in finance, transit, higher education, workforce training, insurance, automotive industry, advocacy, freight, labor, public safety, technology, or local government. In addition to the members listed above, there are four ex-officio legislative members.
