Governor Dayton signs permitting reform bill, three other bills into law

Today, Governor Dayton signed four bills into law.

In a public bill signing this morning, Governor Dayton signed Chapter 150, Senate File 1567 into law. He was joined by Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, Senator John Carlson, Representative Dan Fabian, and Commissioners Paul Aasen and Tom Landwehr. SF 1567 implements environmental permitting reforms and it passed the legislature with bipartisan support. /governor/assets/billsigning-attach.jpg_tcm1055-96337.jpgPlease see a photo of the bill signing ceremony attached.

Governor Dayton also signed the following bills into law today:

  • Chapter 146, Senate File 1917, related to the use of prone restraint in schools. This bill passed the House with bipartisan support and the Senate with unanimous support.

  • Chapter 148, House File 2253allows out-of-state residential mental health treatment for children who are deaf and have additional special needs. This bill passed both bodies of the legislature with unanimous support.

  • Chapter 149, House File 1903, allows Veterans Service Organizations to receive reimbursement for Honor Guard services in a timely manner. This bill passed both bodies of the legislature with unanimous support.
