ST. PAUL, MN – Lt. Governor Tina Smith today issued the following statement on the passing of St. Cloud State University President Earl Potter.
“I am deeply saddened at the loss of President Earl Potter, and of his leadership at St. Cloud State University. Dr. Potter’s death leaves a huge void on campus, in St. Cloud, and throughout Minnesota.
“The work of President Potter to recruit and retain a global student body and strengthen connections between the college and community has been extremely valuable to our state. I extend my deepest condolences to the St. Cloud community and to Dr. Potter’s family for this terrible loss.”
