St. Paul, MN - Governor Mark Dayton today appointed Andy Luger and Deanna Wiener to the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.

Established by the State Legislature in 1974, the Board's four major programs are campaign finance registration and disclosure, public subsidy administration, lobbyist registration and disclosure, and economic interest disclosure by public officials. The Board has six members, appointed by the Governor on a bi-partisan basis for staggered four-year terms.

Andy Luger is a Minneapolis attorney and former prosecutor. He served as Assistant US Attorney in both Minnesota and New York, and, in 2008, was appointed by St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman to co-chair the Republican National Convention Public Safety Planning and Implementation Review Commission. In 2009, he was appointed by the Commissioner of Public Safety to co-chair the Metro Gang Strike Force Review Panel. He is replacing Terri Ashmore.

Deanna Wiener served as a State Senator from Eagan from 1993-2002, where she chaired the Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Insurance and the Education Subcommittee of the Higher Education Budget Division. She has an RN degree from St. Mary's College and currently works in the real estate industry. She is replacing Robert Milbert.
