ST. PAUL, MN - The following is a statement from Governor Mark Dayton regarding the Affordable Care Act.

"I thank President Obama for his announcement today calling for the option for people to keep their present health insurance policies, if they desire, for the next year. The President deserves great credit for keeping his promise to the American people. This will also provide time for those affected to compare policies on MNsure for options with better coverage at better prices."

"Our Department of Commerce and MNsure staff are presently analyzing the details of the President's pronouncement and will have more detailed information later about its effect on Minnesotans."
