Photos from the Governor and Lt. Governor's fishing expeditions are attached
TOWER, MN - This morning, Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith kicked off the 2015 fishing season at Fortune Bay Casino on Lake Vermilion in Tower, Minnesota.
Governor Dayton was joined by local fishing guide Buck Lescarbeau, Majority Leader Tom Bakk, and Speaker Kurt Daudt.
Around 9:00am, Governor Dayton caught the first fish of the day, with a total of nine catches throughout the morning. Majority Leader Bakk caught 14 fish, and Speaker Daudt caught 12 fish, for a total of 35 fish caught. Photos of the Governor's fishing party are attached.
Lt. Governor Tina Smith was joined by local fishing guide Casey Sunsdahl, her husband, Archie Smith, Representative Dave Baker, and Dan Pierce, United Steelworkers. A photo of the Lt. Governor's catch is attached.
