Board overseeing Destination Medical Center Corporation to be convened by Governor Mark Dayton
ST. PAUL, MN - On Friday, August 9, the board overseeing the newly-established Destination Medical Center Corporation, will meet for the first time at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minnesota. The Destination Medical Center Corporation Board is comprised of eight members, including: Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede, Jim Bier, James Campbell, Tina Flint Smith, Bill George, Ed Hruska, Susan Rani, and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. The Board's first meeting will be convened by Governor Mark Dayton.
The Board will oversee the operation of the Destination Medical Center Corporation (DMCC). It will also be responsible for approving the Destination Medical Center development plan. All meetings of the Board are open to the press and public. More information about the Board, its responsibilities, and its members can be found on the Governor's website. A full agenda for Friday's meeting, including time and location, is attached and pasted below.
Some members of the Board may participate in the meeting electronically. In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 13D.015, subd. 4, the DMCC shall, to the extent practical, allow a person to monitor the meeting electronically from a remote location. The DMCC may require the person making a connection to pay for documented marginal costs that the entity incurs as a result of the additional connection.
