ST. PAUL, MN - Governor Mark Dayton this evening took action on the last two remaining bills of the 2014 Legislative Session.

Governor Dayton has vetoed Chapter 303, Senate File 2642. A copy of the /governor/assets/053014_Veto%20Letter_Chapter303.pdf_tcm1055-93344.pdfGovernor's veto letter is attached. A description of the bill is as follows:

• Chapter 303, SF 2642: This lawful gambling bill modifies games, prizes, and other provisions to regulate charitable gambling. The bill prohibits the director of the state lottery from offering casino-style games and suspends the sale of certain lottery tickets through a Web site or self-service devices. This passed the House 126-2 and the Senate 56-5.

• Chapter 313, HF 3302: This bill corrects miscellaneous oversights, inconsistencies, ambiguities, unintended results, and technical errors. This bill passed the House 128-2 and the Senate 58-0.
