ST. PAUL, MN – On Wednesday, September 7, 2016, Lt. Governor Tina Smith will continue the Dayton-Smith Administration’s “
87 Counties in 86 Days” tour by visiting Nobles, Murray, Lyon, and Yellow Medicine counties. In the morning, Lt. Governor Smith will tour the Worthington Biotech Advancement Center, and moderate a panel discussion with local business leaders and state agency commissioners about Minnesota’s Business First Stop Program. This event is open to the press.
Later in the morning, the Lt. Governor will tour Monogram Meat Snacks in Chandler. During the stop, Lt. Governor Smith will learn more about the manufacturing facility and talk with employees. In the afternoon, the Lt. Governor will meet with Marshall Public Schools teachers and administrators to discuss early education. These events are open to the press.
Later in the day, Lt. Governor Smith also will meet with Upper Sioux Indian Community leaders and tour the Upper Sioux Community Wastewater Treatment Facility. This event is closed to press.
