Adele kicks off her “Adele Live 2016” North American tour in Minnesota tonight
ST. PAUL, MN – Thousands of Minnesotans will gather at Xcel Energy Center tonight and tomorrow, as international popstar Adele kicks off her “Adele Live 2016” North American tour with two shows in Minnesota. In honor of her performances, Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith
have proclaimed Tuesday, July 5, 2016, to be “Adele Day” in Minnesota.
Adele is among the most popular musicians in the world, having sold more than 100 million records. Adele’s success has made history, as the first woman to have three top ten singles simultaneously. Adele has won ten Grammy Awards, becoming the second artist to ever win all the “Big Four” awards, and the second woman ever to win six awards in one night.
Through her life and music, Adele has inspired Minnesotans, and music fans around the world. Adele last performed in Minnesota in 2008.
