Day of Remembrance for President Abraham Lincoln

In honor and remembrance of President Abraham Lincoln, President Barack Obama has ordered that the flag of the United States shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of Federal Government throughout the United States and its Territories and possessions until sunset on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
Governor Dayton has also ordered all U.S. flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota, from now until sunset on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, as a mark of respect for the memory of President Abraham Lincoln.

Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are also encouraged to lower their flags on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the time of their choosing.
