ST. PAUL, MN – As critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Simon prepares to give his 15th performance in Minnesota, Governor Mark Dayton is proclaiming Friday, June 8th, 2018 as “Paul Simon Day” throughout the state. Simon’s stop in St. Paul is one of 18 U.S. shows on his ‘Homeward Bound’ Farewell Tour. Through his life and music, Simon has inspired Minnesotans and music fans around the world.

Paul Simon’s legendary career in music spans over 50 years. He is a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, both as a solo artist and as a member of the iconic duo Simon & Garfunkel, formed in 1964 with fellow musician Art Garfunkel. He has also won sixteen Grammy Awards for his solo and collaborative work, including three for Album of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2006, Paul Simon was selected as one of “100 People who Shaped the World” by Time Magazine.
